Spring Day in the park

This is our Spring Kick Off Driving Gathering!

Members and non-members welcome. Our Day in the Park events are open to anyone interested in learning more about driving, our club or who has animals they drive or are training to drive. We will have experienced drivers and instructors available to help answer your questions or work with you.
Special Activity: Spring tune ups and safety checks
PLUS Driving Equipment Sale
A great opportunity to check vehicle and harness safety and fit at no charge with experienced and knowledgable guidence. Get set for 2024!

The Maryland Horse library and Education Center is part of the Maryland Horse Park System. We are excited to share this loction with you. Parking is in the lot next to the building.
Elysian Fields is a private farm dedicated to driving, offering opportunities with several instructors. We thank Lenore Huffman for hosting us and sharing her farm, equines and equipment.

WE LOVE OUR HATS! Put on your Show outfit so we can get great pictures for you. Helmets are always welcome too with no penalty if you prefer to keep your hat for the Tea. Dressage tests are available at www.americandrivingsociety.org
You will need to let us know by June 9th what test you would like to do.
Put your best foot forward and try out driven dressage (which really helps our development as a driver and our communication with our equid partners). Try out a test and get helpful input. Great practice opportunity if you are thinking of doing our Dressage and CT or a Centuary Drive.

This will be pinned as a dressage only show but you may also enter a separate division to have your dressage count towards a Combined Test and/ or ADT in conjunction with scores from our Cones and Hazards Schooling Show June 16th at the same location. Members, former competitors, active competitors & Judges discuss what to wear and carry in ALL driving situations. Bring your photos, outfits, turnouts and join in!

Reinsmanship highlights the practical skills needed for good driving. Good reinsmanship improves communication and confidence and is useful in all forms of driving. Learn more about this and practice with or without guidence.

As always bring your chair, questions and pot luck/ picnic. We hope to see you there!
